Copilot vs ChatGPT for work
If your company runs on Microsoft 365, Copilot works inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and Copilot Cowork can send emails, schedule meetings, and create documents after you approve each action. It is an add-on: a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan comes first, then $30/user/month paid yearly. ChatGPT Work is OpenAI's agent for longer jobs; ChatGPT Business ($25/seat monthly, $20 annual) includes it and connects to both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Claude vs Copilot
Claude is the better fit when your files sit on your own computer: Cowork reads, edits, and creates files in the folders you pick, and Claude connects to Gmail, Google Drive, and Microsoft 365. Copilot wins when everything is already in Microsoft 365. Microsoft says Copilot Cowork runs on Anthropic models at general availability, so the choice is more about where you work than which lab built the model.
Gemini vs Copilot
The honest answer is usually “whichever suite your email is in.” Gemini works inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Meet; on Google Workspace it starts at Business Standard ($14/user/month with a 1-year commitment) for everything beyond Gmail. Copilot does the same job inside Microsoft 365.

The last one decides the price: personal plans (ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Google AI Pro, Microsoft 365 Personal) cost about $10 to $20 a month, but if your employer's data can't go there, you need the business version, which is billed per seat.

The tool itself runs on Claude (Anthropic) right here on the page — you don't need any AI subscription to use it. Everything it generates is plain text, so you can paste the output into ChatGPT, a document, or an email and keep working there. If you mainly work in ChatGPT, you can also reuse your inputs there to refine further.
